Dolores Catania Shares Terrifying Details of Recent Home Invasion, Says Intruders Used a ‘Blowtorch’

Dolores Catania and her boyfriend Paul “Paulie” Connell are sharing the details of a scary incident that happened at their New Jersey home recently.

The 54-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star and her 51-year-old partner were on Jeff Lewis Live on Monday (October 6), when they revealed that their townhouse was broken into while they were out of town filming scenes for Bravo’s upcoming Real Housewives of Rhode Island.

Dolores recalls learning about the home invasion from Paul‘s son when she took his call during filming. The intruders “came in with a blowtorch,” using it on a window to shatter the glass in an attempt to circumvent any alarm.

“It’s a new thing that [intruders are] doing. [I] have a glass-break sensor that only goes off when the pitch is high, but when you heat it, it shatters without cracking and then you just push it through with your hand and walk in,” Paul explained.

The couple have a high-tech motion-detecting security system, so even though the intruders were able to get through the glass, law enforcement were still quickly notified.

“By the time they left and the cops got there, it was 20 seconds,” the Irish entrepreneur explained.

He said the intruders were only inside about a minute after spending eight trying to break in. Luckily, nothing was stolen and no one was hurt.

To conclude, Dolores said they learned a lesson about sharing too many revealing social media posts, such as when they’re not home.

“We all love to post when we’re out and we’re away. Paul posted that day that we were in Rhode Island, and that night, we got broken into. First and last time. Lesson learned.”

After becoming one of the winners of The Traitors season 3, Dolores shared what she did with her share of the money!
