Selena Gomez pulled off more than one Saturday Night Live surprise this week.
The 30-year-old “Come and Get It” pop star made an unexpected cameo during co-hosts and Only Murder in the Building co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin‘s opening monologue for the December 10 show.
Later, she returned to the screen to play a bit part in a skit that imagined a future movie in the Father of the Bride franchise.

If you weren’t aware, Martin and Steve co-starred in the 1991 original movie. They reunited in the 1995 sequel and again in a 2020 project. More than 30 years after the original was released, they spoofed yet another entry into the franchise on SNL.
Selena made a brief cameo as a pricey and self-assured wedding performer. Entering wearing an oversized pink sweater and matching leggings and heels, she demanded a $1.8 million performance fee.
The pop star wore the same vibrant look when she was spotted by the paparazzi after the show!
