If you don’t know, Johnny Depp sued his ex wife, Amber Heard, for $50 million in damages after she published a 2018 op-ed in the Washington Post that said she became a “public figure representing domestic abuse.” Amber never mentioned Johnny by name in the piece, but his lawyers argued that it was about him. Johnny has continually denied all allegations of domestic abuse.
Amber countersued Johnny for $100 million for comments his former lawyer made to the Daily Mail in 2020 where he said it was all a hoax. Amber has alleged that she only ever got violent with Johnny in self-defense.
They both took the stand in the trial.
