The movie contains both a mid-credits and post-credits scene that you’ll want to see.

In the mid-credits scene, fans will see Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) walking down a street in New York City before a portal opens up that seems to lead to the dark dimension that held Dormammu in the the first Doctor Strange movie.

It’s then that a woman, played by Charlize Theron, dressed in all purple tells Strange that she needs his help in saving the universe. He then opens his third eye, and together, they jump into the portal.

The woman that Charlize plays is named Clea, who is actually Dormammu’s niece, and is a future love interest for Strange. In the comics, Clea and Strange defeat Dormammu, and eventually, Clea and Strange get married.

At the conclusion of the mid-credit scene, the words “Doctor Strange Will Return” appear on the screen.

For the final end-credits scene, the movie brings back Pizza Poppa, played by Bruce Campbell, who was seen earlier in the movie in another dimension. The character confronted America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) after she steals a bowl of his street vendor pizza balls.

To stop him, Strange casts a spell on him, which then finds him hitting himself in the face repeatedly. Strange says at the time that the spell will last three weeks.

In the final scenes, Pizza Poppa is back on screen, and the spell finally wears off.

“It’s over!” he proclaims.

If you missed it, Benedict recently shot down this fan theory of the film.
