Amber Heard has officially taken the witness stand in Johnny Depp‘s defamation trial against her.

Her first remarks on the witness stand were about how this his been incredibly difficult for her.

“I am here because my ex-husband is suing me,” Amber said, referring to her ex Johnny. “I struggle to find the words to describe how painful this is. This is horrible for me to sit here for weeks and relive everything.”

She said while visibly emotional, “This is the most painful and difficult thing I’ve ever gone through, for sure.”

She said the “goal is the truth” and “hopefully when this case concludes, I can move on and so can Johnny. I have always maintained a love for Johnny and it brings me great pain to have to live out the details of our past life together in front of the world.”
