Tom Holland‘s new movie is a hit!

The Ruben Fleischer-directed movie brought in $44 million over the weekend, and is based on one of the most popular video games. It brought in $55 million internationally, and cost $120 million to make.
It’s expected to earn $52 million through the President’s Day holiday, and will be released on March 14 in China.
The movie follows the globe-trotting treasure hunter Nathan Drake and his wisecracking partner Sully (Mark Wahlberg) as they embark on a death-defying quest to uncover the greatest treasure never found. Complicating matters, the fearless explorers are racing against two baddies (played by Antonio Banderas and Tati Gabrielle) to locate the fabled fortunes.
