The Associated Press reports that court records were released on Friday (October 22) and they show some new information.

Alec Baldwin was handed a loaded weapon by an assistant director who indicated it was safe to use in the moments before the actor fatally shot a cinematographer,” the outlet report.

AP also says that the “assistant director did not know the prop gun was loaded with live rounds.”

The court records show that Halyna was shot in the chest and Joel was standing behind her when he was wounded.

Sheriff’s spokesman Juan Rios says that Alec is permitted to travel and “he’s a free man.” No immediate charged are being filed against him.
