As the show goes on, viewers quickly learn that there’s more going on behind-the-scenes, including a massive twist at the end that results in the discovery that one of the players is not who he says he is.
Oh Il-nam (Oh Yeong-Su), also known as “the old man” or Player 001, turns out to be a billionaire and creator of the games, knowingly playing for fun. And throughout the show, there are actually a bunch of clues to prove that he was never actually in danger of losing and/or dying.
