Robert De Niro Says Actors Have the Right to Speak Out About Politics During SAG Awards 2020 Speech (VIDEO)

Robert De Niro is awarded the Life Achievement Award at the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday (January 19) at the Shine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

The 76-year-old actor was honored for his 50-year career by Leonardo DiCaprio.

During his acceptance speech, Robert – who has been extremely vocal about not like President Trump – called out the “dire” political climate the country is currently in.

“There’s right and there’s wrong, there’s common sense and there’s abuse of power. As a citizen, I have the right to voice my opinion.” Robert said. “If I have a bigger voice because of my situation, I am going to use it whenever I see a blatant misuse of power…That’s all I’m going to say about that tonight.”
