‘Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender’ is Skipping Theaters, Will Go Straight to Streaming

The upcoming Avatar the Last Airbender film Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender will no longer be released in theaters.

Instead, the animated film will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ in the fall. It was expected to go to cinemas on October 9, but a streaming date has not been confirmed.

The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender and Avatar: Seven Havens represent the next evolution of storytelling from Avatar Studios — bringing together remarkable talent both in front of and behind the camera to deliver the epic adventures and emotional depth fans have come to expect.”

Avatar: Seven Havens is a new animated series set in the Avatar world also coming to Paramount+. The original Nickelodeon show and its spinoff series The Legend of Korra are already available on the streaming service.
