Margot Robbie is opening up about her decision to keep her baby boy out of the spotlight.
The 35-year-old Oscar-nominated actress and her husband Tom Ackerley welcomed their son back in November 2024.
While speaking with British Vogue in a new interview published on Friday (December 5), Margot said that she’s set “new boundaries” now that she’s a mom.
Keep reading to find out more…“I’m trying to keep that side of things private and protect him,” Margot said. “Earlier in my career, I’d speak more freely in interviews. I’ve just been burnt so many times, when people have taken what I’ve said out of context. And I read stuff all the time where people put me in quotation marks saying things I’ve never said.”
Margot then reflected on the first time she was misquoted in a newspaper 10 years ago.
“I could not get my head around it,” she recalled. “I was like, ‘They just made it up?’ There was no way for me to change or control it. I just had to accept that.”
Despite learning to embrace that awkward moment, Margot said that she had to create “boundaries” to protect herself.
“When you shift from your 20s to your 30s and beyond, you think, ‘I am going to do things differently,’” she explained. “‘Here are my new boundaries.’”
Also in the new interview, Margot defended Wuthering Heights co-star Jacob Elordi following casting backlash.
