
RuPaul is hitting the big screen!
The Emmy-winning RuPaul’s Drag Race host will be starring in an upcoming new film from director Adam Shankman, who has served as a guest judge and choreographer on the competition series.
It was just announced this past week that filming has wrapped in Los Angeles, plus the official title and theatrical release date has been revealed!

The upcoming comedy is called STOP! THAT! TRAIN! and is set to hit theaters in North America on May 26, 2026!
In the movie, “best friends Tess and DeeDee, train stewardesses who trade their dreary shifts on the Stank Rail for the glitzy Glamazonian Express. When a catastrophic ‘Stormaganza’ threatens to derail the high-speed train, the duo in coach must join forces with the snobby first class attendants and President Gagwell (RuPaul) to save the day in this wild ride of camp and comedy.”
“I’ve had the greatest time shooting STOP! THAT! TRAIN! with some of the most hilarious and game people out there, and we can’t wait to bring it to audiences nationwide next May,” Adam shared in a statement. “I know I’ve needed to laugh now more than ever, and if you’re not howling during this one, I’m pretty sure you’re made of coal and possibly a descendant of the Grinch family!”
In addition, RuPaul and Adam will also serve as executive producers, alongside World of Wonder’s Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato and Tom Campbell. Christina Friel and Connor Wright, who penned RuPaul‘s last movie The B-tch Who Stole Christmas, also wrote this movie.
