Indie singer-songwriter Frankie Bird is preparing for the release of her new album in 2026 and she just dropped her most vulnerable song yet.
“Where To Start…” is about coming to terms with the end of a relationship and choosing yourself while starting a new chapter.
Frankie told JustJared.com in a statement, “My new single ‘Where To Start…’ is also the opener on my upcoming album and sets the tone for the themes of rediscovery that follow throughout the record. It’s a really special song to me about coming to terms with the end of a relationship I was in and being brave enough to choose yourself in hopes to find your voice and power again.”
She added, “It’s about taking the risk, burning it all down, not knowing what the other side will look like, but having the trust that there’s life on the other side of letting go. There’s a line in the song that feels like the heartbeat of the whole record which is why I chose it to begin the story: ‘I’ve been going back and forth about jumping, wondering how far I’ll fall in the dark… in the dark I thought… maybe I’d come alive.’”
“The full album will be out in January and I can’t wait to share it all with you!” Frankie teased.
