The new movie The Family Plan 2 is now streaming on Apple TV and we caught up with actor Van Crosby to learn more about him!
Van is reprising his role as Kyle Morgan in the sequel, which stars Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Monaghan as his parents.
You might also recognize Van from roles on ABC’s Splitting Up Together, Apple TV’s Roar, CBS’ Criminal Minds, or Hulu’s Dollface.

- I am a huge fan of Dungeons and Dragons and I had a campaign that ran for 4 years that finished this past summer.
- I’m a musician, I make music all by myself, production, guitar, singing, mixing, everything. I don’t post it anywhere though because I’m scared, haha.
- I can solve a Rubik’s cube in 1 minute, sometimes less.
- Most people don’t know I love to read. I’ve read 13 books in 2025 (which is pretty average but multiple of them were over 1000 pages). (Bonus Fact: my favorite author is Brandon Sanderson)
- I went through a phase of learning to do trampoline tricks, I’m no gymnast but I can still backflip and front flip on a trampoline.

- Currently going through a skateboarding phase, super early stages but I’ve almost got Ollies down.
- I like to collect and modify old Nintendo controllers/hardware. I have a couple custom built GameCube controllers that I use to play Super Smash Brothers Melee and Mario Kart. (I’m not very good at Smash)
- I am actually a streamer in real life, not just in the movies. I just don’t do it often enough for people to know it’s happening!
- Most people don’t notice I have green eyes. A lot of people assume hazel, but my eyes are fully green, which is like 2% of the world.
- I’m super into making things myself if I have the skills to do it. I have this goal in life that I want to be able to make anything I want, given enough time, instead of buying it. Right now I can only really do basic stuff, but I hope in the future to be able to do it all. Like, I have a 3D printer, I’ve been learning some basic woodworking and leather working skills, I can also sew, and all of that combined I mainly use to make Halloween costumes. For example this year I made a fully functional lightsaber from scratch with PVC pipe and my 3D printer. (Still trying to figure out how to make it cut through things though, haha)
