The album features Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Ariana Grande as Glinda, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Ethan Slater as Boq, and Marissa Bode as Nessarose.
In addition to the music that you know and love from the Broadway musical’s second act, there are also two new songs written by Stephen Schwartz.
Elphaba’s new song “No Place Like Home” follows her trying to encourage the animals of Oz to stay and fight with her instead of going to the No Man’s Land.
Glinda’s new song “The Girl in the Bubble” is a ballad featured at the end of the film when she has to grapple with all the decisions she has made that led her to that moment.
