Prince Harry Jokingly Apologizes to Canada After Wearing Dodgers Hat at World Series 2025

Prince Harry is (jokingly) getting called out for not supporting Canada!

Last week, the 41-year-old Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan Markle attended game 4 of the 2025 World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays.

For the game, Harry and Meghan, 44, were both seen wearing wearing Dodgers hats.

While attending an event in Canada on Thursday (November 6), Harry jokingly apologized for not wearing a Blue Jays to the game in support of the country.

“When you’re missing a lot of hair on top, and you’re sitting under floodlights, you’ll take any hat that’s available, ” Harry joked, while pointedly wearing a Blue Jays hat at the event.

“Game 5, Game 6, Game 7, I was Blue Jays throughout,” he continued. “Now that I’ve admitted that, it’s going to be pretty hard for me to return back to Los Angeles.”

The Dodgers ended up defeating the Blue Jays to win the World Series for the second year in a row.

As the son of Canada’s head of state, Harry has ties to both the Blue Jays and the Dodgers, as L.A. is Meghan‘s hometown.

Harry went on to dub the incident “Hat-Gate” and when he later attended an event to honor Canada’s military where he addressed “the blue-hatted elephant in the room.”

“Truthfully and jokes aside, this city will always mean a great deal to me,” Harry said.

If you missed it, Prince Harry slammed “categorically false” claims about his recent reunion with dad King Charles.
