Sydney Sweeney’s Co-Star Sharon Stone Recalls Exactly What She Said About American Eagle ‘Good Jeans’ Controversy

Sharon Stone is revealing what her Euphoria co-star Sydney Sweeney said about the “good jeans” controversy.

If you did not see, this summer, American Eagle launched their Fall 2025 campaign, “Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans.” However, in some ads, “Jeans” had been crossed out and replaced with “Genes.”

Many accused American Eagle of promoting “eugenics,” since Sydney, 27, is white, blonde, and blue-eyed.

Now, Sharon has weighed in.

Sharon recounted what she told Sydney, to Variety, “Because I was co-godparents with Jane Goodall, I said, ‘When Jane was on the cover of Life Magazine for her work with gorillas, she was in her safari shorts and shirt, sitting with one of the animals that she was working with. Other scientists said, ‘Well, she only got the cover of Life Magazine because she had good legs.’ And Jane said, ‘Well, if I did, then that helped me get more money for my research.’”

Sharon then continued, “Sydney said, ‘Yeah, and I’m sure I made a billion dollars for the jeans company, and I’m good with that. Because, you know what? I’ll get another job.’”
