McCray goes on to that Isabelle “passed away peacefully” and that “the family requests privacy as they deal with this sudden and shocking loss.”
Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease is a “peripheral neuropathy affecting the nerves that connect the brain and spinal cord to the rest of the body. Peripheral nerves are responsible for movement, sensation, hearing, organ function, and more,” according to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association.
CMT causes “lifelong, progressive symptoms, including muscle weakness and atrophy in the arms and legs, sensory loss, and other complications. These symptoms often lead to challenges with balance, walking, hand use, and other daily activities.”
McCray concluded her email by noting that “in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Izzy’s memory be made” to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association in the late actress’ name.
Our continued thoughts are with Isabelle Tate‘s loved ones.
