Royal Family Makes a Big Change to Prince Andrew’s Page on Official Website Amid Scandal

There’s been a big change involving Prince Andrew on the official website for the royal family.

The 65-year-old royal’s website has since been updated following his announcement of giving up his royal titles amid scandal.

On the royal.uk website, his page previously referred to him as the Duke of York. Now, as of Monday (October 20), his name simply reads “Prince Andrew,” People noted.

“On 13 January 2022, Buckingham Palace announced that, with Queen Elizabeth II‘s approval and agreement, Prince Andrew’s military affiliations and Royal patronages would be returned to Her late Majesty, and The Prince would not return to public duties. Prior to stepping back from public life, Prince Andrew undertook a wide range of public work, with a strong economic and business focus,” the website reads.

It has not yet acknowledged his latest announcement giving up all royal titles in the text. He is still featured in the “Royal Family” tab of the website, without his title.

“With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further…I will therefore no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me. As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me,” he said in his recent statement giving up his royal titles. Find out what else he said.
