Laufey is playing the biggest shows of her career on the recently-launched A Matter of Time Tour and it’s a must-see show for fans of her jazz-inspired pop music.

The 26-year-old Icelandic singer-songwriter got her start over a decade ago on talent shows Iceland’s Got Talent and The Voice Iceland, then later went to school in the U.S. to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music.

Laufey (pronounced lay-vay) dropped her debut album in 2022 and then followed that up with Bewitched in 2023, which won the Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.

Now, Laufey is on tour to promote her third studio album, A Matter of Time, which was released over the summer and includes hit songs like “Tough Luck” and “Lover Girl.” The tour kicked off on September 15 in Orlando and the North American leg will continue through the end of October. The tour will move overseas to Europe in early 2026!

So, why is Laufey‘s tour a show you shouldn’t miss?!

Laufey performing

1. The incredible vocals and music!
Laufey performs a style of pop music that is so unique from the rest of what you hear on the radio these days and her vocals sound just as good live.

2. She plays so many different instruments!
As Laufey says herself, she’s an “orchestra nerd from Iceland” and she knows so much about music theory that she’s able to create some awesome live musical moments for her fans. During the show, she plays cello, guitar, and piano.

3. The set design is perfect!
The whimsical set design for A Matter of Time Tour includes a B-stage that transforms into an intimate jazz club at one point in the show and later turns into a moving clock for the “Tough Luck” performance. Laufey even spins on the clock hand! There’s even a fairytale-style princess castle and swing on stage.

4. Surprise guests!
You never know who is going to show up to a Laufey concert. Three of the tour stops have already had surprise guests, with Benson Boone joining her to perform “Somethin’ Stupid” in Arizona, Hozier performing a duet of “Magnolia” with her on night one in Los Angeles, and K-Pop group KATSEYE performing their song “Gabriela” with her on night two in Los Angeles.

5. The fans!
Laufey surely has an incredible group of fans and they help bring the show to life by singing along, screaming out their own chants, and lighting up the arena with their phone flashlights.
