Taylor Swift is dishing on her new album!
At midnight on Friday (October 3), the 35-year-old Grammy-winning entertainer dropped her 12th album The Life of a Showgirl.
While in the U.K. promoting the new album, Taylor revealed which song off the album is her favorite, and her answer may surprise you!
Keep reading to find out more…During her appearance on Heart Radio, Taylor named “Wish List” as her favorite track off of The Life of a Showgirl.
“It was the song where after we finished it, I was like, ‘Oh, we’re done. Like, we’re we’re good. We’re done with this. This is the final piece,’” Taylor explained. “It’s a really dreamy song. It’s a really romantic song,” Swift said. “It details all these different things that people aspire to have in their lives and all the wishes that people are making all over the world.”
Then while appearing on London’s Magic Radio, Taylor said that the song is “really emotional,” adding, “It’s a very accurate stance on where I’m at in life.”
In an album feature on Apple Music, Taylor shared more insight into writing “Wish List.”
“It is one of my favorite songs on the album, by far,” Taylor said. “It’s so romantic. It’s got such great imagery in the verses about what kinds of lives people want and just, kind of, living in this state of acceptance of whatever way anybody wants to live in the world. As long as you get to live the way you want to live.”
