Taylor Swift is singing about Travis Kelce on her new song “Honey” and how he helped redefine that word for her!
The 35-year-old singer seemingly had a negative connotation for the word “honey” in the past, but it has a different meaning for her now when Travis calls her it.
Head inside to listen to the song and read the full lyrics…
In the past, if someone called Taylor “sweetheart / It was passive-aggressive at the bar / And the bitch was tellin’ me to back off.” And “If anyone called me ‘Honey’ / It was standin’ in the bathroom, white teeth / They were sayin’ that skirt don’t fit me / And I cried the whole way home.”
Now, the word has a different meaning.
“You can call me honey if you want because I’m the one you want / I’m the one you want / You give it different meaning, ’cause you mean it when you talk / Sweetie it’s yours, kicking in doors / Take it to the floor, give me more,” Taylor sings.
Aww!! So sweet.
