Jimmy Kimmel Breaks Silence on Social Media Amid ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ Suspension

Jimmy Kimmel made his first social media post since the flurry of headlines surrounding Jimmy Kimmel Live!

If you missed the news, on Wednesday (September 17), ABC pulled Jimmy Kimmel Live! off the air indefinitely following comments the 57-year-old late-night host made in the wake of right-wing podcaster Charlie Kirk‘s death.

Then, on Monday (September 22), ABC released a statement and shared Jimmy would be back on air in some markets tonight (September 23).

Now, Jimmy has taken to social media for the first time since this all went down.

He did not mention the ABC suspension at all, but instead, paid tribute to the late Norman Lear, who passed away in December 2023. He wrote, “Missing this guy today.”

If you don’t know, Norman was a big supporter of the First Amendment, and he was a political activist.
