Arnold Schwarzenegger is making an awkward joke at ex-wife Maria Shriver‘s expense.
Just a few short weeks after reuniting at son Patrick Schwarzenegger‘s wedding, the 78-year-old Terminator actor took a swipe at the 69-year-old journalist while honoring Chris Wallace at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
Keep reading to find out more…“I know a lot about journalists. I’ve been interviewed — you can imagine, in my lifetime — by thousands and thousands of journalists,” Arnold said during his speech, per Page Six. “But not only that, I was also married to a journalist.”
“The only difference between Chris and Maria is that Chris has never taken half my money,” the former Governor of California quipped.
If you forgot, Arnold and Maria married in 1986 and share four children: Katherine, 35, Christina, 34, Patrick, 32, and Christopher, 27.
After 25 years of marriage, Arnold and Maria split in 2011 after Arnold admitted that he had fathered a son, Joseph Baena, with the family’s former housekeeper, Mildred “Patty” Baena. Joseph, 27, was born days after his half-brother, Christopher.
Their divorce was finalized in 2021, a decade after their initial separation.
In an interview from earlier this year, Maria reflected on their “brutal” divorce.
