Fox News host Brian Kilmeade is speaking out after his extremely controversial moment.
If you did not see the viral moment, during a broadcast of Fox & Friends, there was a discussion about North Carolina having “soft-on-crime policies” amid the fatal stabbing of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska.
The discussion then turned to the unhoused population, with the hosts noting that the suspect in the tragedy could have been aided years ago.
Then, Kilmeade suggested that they could kill the unhoused by “involuntary lethal injection. Or something. Just kill them.”
He’s now responding.

“In the morning, we were discussing the murder of Iryna Zarutska in Charlotte, North Carolina and how to stop these kinds of attacks by homeless, mentally ill assailants, including institutionalizing or jailing such people so they cannot attack again. Now during that discussion, I wrongly said they should get lethal injections. I apologize for that extremely callous remark. I am obviously aware that not all mentally ill, homeless people act as the perpetrator did in North Carolina, and that so many homeless people deserve our empathy and compassion,” he said on the air on Sunday (September 14).
Fox News recently underwent a lineup change for its weekend schedule.
