The synopsis for the film, per the film festival, reads as follows: “Academy Award winner Jodie Foster stars in this scintillating, slyly comic psychological thriller from French director Rebecca Zlotowski (TIFF ’22’s Other People’s Children), in which a suspicious death yields a series of twists that lead back to old grievances — and maybe even to past lives.”
Even though Jodie is still celebrating the premiere of this movie, she already knows what she wants to do next.
“I want to play Kristin Scott Thomas’ sister because we’re the two people who speak French fluently,” Jodie revealed to Variety. “Me and Kristin, we can do this together. We’ve known each other for a long time, so I’m going to come knocking at her door. She’s a director now, so I’m like, just direct us in a movie where we play sisters.”
Jodie previously spoke about her decision to star in another French film.
