YouTube superstar MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, is causing chaos online again.
The 27-year-old social media star posted a video called “I Bought the NFL” on Wednesday (September 3), just before the league’s new season kicks off on Thursday (September 4).

No, MrBeast didn’t buy the NFL!
The video was just a prank, and the video is solely a promotion created alongside the NFL to announce that YouTube will stream the September 5 game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers for free.
While MrBeast is a billionaire content creator, the NFL is actually owned by individual team owners and stakeholders, not one single person.
Buying the entire league would cost hundreds of billions of dollars, as even owning one team costs a few billion.
