JJ: I wanted to ask what you made of all the backlash that Riley faced now that you’re a few days removed from your eviction.
KW: I think I was very surprised by a lot of the verbiage being used. A lot of it was a little more intense than I would have anticipated, even given how people felt about the situation. It still felt a little out of control. Um, so it was really shocking to see, I would say.
JJ: Have you gotten a chance to connect with Rylie yet?
KW: Yeah, we’ve spoken a couple of times, more so just checking in with each other. I think a lot of things being said about him and to me, about him and about me, has been kind of hard to deal with, especially so quickly. I’m still, you know, just a few days out. I’m not even a week out of the house yet…and he had to deal with a lot of it, kind of more so on his own. So I’ve been checking in with him, making sure that he’s doing okay, because I think that’s really important.
JJ: Have you gotten to check in with any of the other evicted house guests yet?
KW: Yeah. The other evicted house guests, and then some of the alumni as well have been super sweet and reaching out, making sure that, you know, that I know that they’re there if I need them, things like that. So it’s been great.
JJ: Do you still plan to pursue spending any more time with Rylie when you are able to?
KW: I think right now we both just navigating a lot of what is going on surrounding us, in general, things that are completely separate from each other and then things about each other. It’s a lot. So I think for now, it’s just day by day…just check in and make sure that we’re both dealing with everything in a healthy, good way, and that we’re able to have happy days being out of the house.
JJ: One thing I wanted to ask about a past exit interview you did with EW, you mentioned that you thought Rachel had crossed some personal lines in the game. Could you elaborate on what personal lines she crossed either with you or just something that you witnessed that made you think that?
KW: I think at the time, things were still really fresh, I think in that house too, we’re living together. So personal and game do mix no matter how much people try to say to keep it separate. You have to repeat that because it is so hard to keep it separate. So some of my relationship with Rachel and my comfortability with her was grown with her talking about her relationship with her husband a lot and her wanting me and Rylie to get together. And I felt like that was, at the time, when I realized that maybe it was more so a move for her. It hurt my feelings a little bit thinking, okay she actually doesn’t care about me or Rylie at all and she kind of used her relationship with her husband as an in with us and it hurt my feelings to see that. Now I’m able to separate myself a little bit more from it I don’t even think anymore that that was crossing a personal line. I think that it was Rachel speaking truthfully and then also separate. She feels completely different on a game level, you know, and I’m the one that combined them and they are completely separate. And it was, it was really hard to do that. I think it was literally just a day or two ago that I finally was like, okay, think about it. It’s separate. It’s fine.
JJ: How do you feel about Lauren now that you’re a few days removed? Especially given that she’s used the veto on Vince and then that was why Rylie went up.
KW: I mean, I still think with that particular instance, Lauren really did think that she was calling Rachel’s bluff. I think Rachel of all people is not one to call a bluff on. But I kind of understood that situation before leaving the house. I additionally think that, yeah, Lauren, as somebody that I was very close to in the game, and I really did see as an ally, made multiple moves that put me in a worse position, starting from her own HOH. But if Lauren continues on and lasts long enough in this game to get to final two and then maybe win it, or even at this point lasting longer than me, then her game moves did heavily influence my game and end up being part of the reason that I went home and Rylie went home as well. But if she makes it farther and she already has made it farther than me then clearly those moves were better for her. And that’s what matters at the end of the day.
JJ: Since leaving the house and getting access to social media, is there anything that you read on social media from fans that is different from what your perception was inside the house?
KW: Yeah, I would say there’s a lot of things going around. People are trying to choose… I feel like a mean girl of the season and not in the way of like, oh fun villain thing. I think a lot of people are picking apart a lot of the women in the house and maybe because it’s predominantly women at this point. I’m only second to leave. So yeah, I think that part of it is really hard to see. It’s hard to see some of those moments as well that maybe I said things and then some of the other women in the house were attacking other women too. I mean, it’s definitely hard to see all of that stuff because in those moments, what actually was happening, I think that we all genuinely did respect each other and care about each other and wouldn’t say those things under normal circumstances. But when you’re in such a high stress environment, sometimes things slip out and they’re negative and I wish they weren’t. But I’m gonna be looking at some of the comments that were made about me in that light. And I hope that they do the same for each other because seeing some of that has been a little hard, I think.
