Kim Novak is worried about how her life will be portrayed in her upcoming biopic.

The 92-year-old actress recently spoke to The Guardian about Scandalous, the upcoming biopic starring Sydney Sweeney.

According to Kim, she’s concerned that the title might give people the wrong idea about Kim‘s life and romance with Sammy Davis Jr. in the 1950s.

Kim told the publication that she takes issue with the title of the moving, saying she doesn’t feel it’s entirely accurate to that time of her life.

“I don’t think the relationship was scandalous. He’s somebody I really cared about. We had so much in common, including that need to be accepted for who we are and what we do, rather than how we look,” Kim said of her relationship with Sammy.

In 1957, Kim and Sammy‘s relationship drew significant attention as only a small number of Americans approved of interracial marriage at the time. The supreme court case that federally legalized interracial marriage, Loving v. Virginia, did not take place until a decade later.

Because Kim says there was more to their romance than the public controversy, she’s concerned about how the movie could portray them.

“I’m concerned they’re going to make it all sexual reasons,” Kim told the publication.
