NYT Crossword Makes a Big Change That Has Many People Angry

Fans of The New York Times games won’t be happy to learn about the big change that was just made.

The NYT Games website and app has a selection of free and member-only games that users can play every single day. One popular game has now been removed from the free section.

The Mini Crossword is no longer available as a free game and can only be accessed if you have a subscription, according to Parade.

The current free games are: Wordle, Connections, Strands, Pips, and Sudoku with limited access to Spelling Bee.

Memberships include access to: The Crossword, The Mini Crossword, Spelling Bee, Letter Boxed, Tiles, and an archive of over 10,000 crosswords.

A one-year membership is currently on sale for $18 for the year, down from the regular cost of $50.

If you don’t want to pay, check with your local library as some of them offer free subscriptions to The New York Times, including the games app.
