Taylor Swift is gearing up for the release of her new album The Life of a Showgirl and fans have been hoping she’ll lean into the “showgirl” theme by launching a Las Vegas residency.
While every venue in Las Vegas, except Allegiant Stadium, is way too small to host an artist as popular as Taylor, many fans are speculating that she could be setting sights on the brand new theater, The Sphere.
The Sphere is one of the most high-tech concert venues in the world and acts like U2, The Who, and Backstreet Boys have been performing immersive shows that have received tons of acclaim.
A rep for the Sphere is now speaking out amid speculation.

“While we love and respect Taylor Swift, we are not in conversations with her team about a residency at Sphere,” the rep told Puck’s Matt Belloni.
The Sphere seats 17,600 people and has a total capacity of 20,000 including the general admission floor.
For her recent Eras Tour, Taylor was performing in stadiums that fit between 50,000 and 100,000 people each show.
