PinkPantheress just dropped the music video for her fan-favorite track “Romeo,” and it comes as her recent single “Illegal” continues to go viral.
The 24-year-old British pop star unveiled the new visual on Wednesday (August 13), just weeks after her debut TV performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Directed by Iris Luz, the video follows PinkPantheress as she competes in a South London chess tournament against opponent and love interest Destin Conrad. The game quickly turns into a high-energy dance-off, with the pair embodying the King and Queen on a life-sized chessboard before one emerges victorious.

The track appears on PinkPantheress’ sophomore mixtape Fancy That. This summer, she made her debut at Glastonbury and sold out a two-night residency at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.
Next up, PinkPantheress will launch her nearly sold-out An Evening with PinkPantheress North American residency style tour, kicking off October 24 in Brooklyn, with stops in Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Oakland. It will mark her first headlining run in the U.S. since her 2024 Capable of Love tour.
