South Park is finally coming to Paramount+!
Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have reached a deal with the streaming service for their long-running animated series.
Although the deal hasn’t been finalized, the Los Angeles Times is reporting that they’ve reached a five-year deal totaling in $1.5 billion.

South Park was previously available for streaming on HBO Max while Paramount+ was in development.
After the HBO Max licensing deal expired, South Park‘s creators were in tense negotiations with their parent company about the show. It was reported that Paramount’s upcoming merger caused the show’s premiere to be pushed back.
Sources close to the deal with Paramount report that Trey and Matt have agreed to a five-year deal at $300 million per year, totaling in $1.5 billion for the rights to the show.
In addition to the streaming rights, the deal has Matt and Trey‘s production company producing 10 episodes of the series per year.
