Tom Girardi has surrendered himself to prison.
The 86-year-old disgraced lawyer, who is also the estranged husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne, reported to the Metropolitan Detention Center Los Angeles on Thursday (July 17) to begin his seven-year sentence after he was found guilty of wire fraud.
Keep reading to find out more…A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed to Page Six that Tom had begun his sentence and he is also listed as an inmate on the Bureau’s database. As of right now, his release date hasn’t been made public.
Back in February 2023, Tom was found guilty of “embezzling millions of dollars from former clients.”
He was officially sentenced this past June, on his 86th birthday, to seven years and three months in prison. He was also ordered to pay $2.3 million in restitution to his victims.
