A rep for the tech company Astronomer has released an official statement in response to CEO Andy Byron‘s kiss cam moment at the Coldplay concert.

If you’ve been living under a rock for the past 24 hours, let’s fill you in on what has been happening: Chris Martin was interacting with fans shown on the jumbotron at a recent Boston show. When the camera panned to a man and woman looking cozy, they quickly ducked out of view to avoid being on camera. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just really shy,” Chris jokingly said to the crowd.

The internet and many media outlets identified Andy as the man and it’s believed that the woman is another executive at his tech company. Internet sleuths also thought another employee was next to them, but the Astronomer rep is shutting down that claim.

Astronomer also has announced an investigation into the matter.

The rep wrote, “Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability. The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly.”

Alyssa Stoddard was not at the event and no other employees were in the video. Andy Byron has not put out any statement, reports saying otherwise are all incorrect,” the statement added.

Chris immediately showed regret for the situation after it happened, but the person who shared the original viral video has defended posting it.
