After that viral moment at the Coldplay concert this week, a fake statement has surfaced that is being passed off as written by Astronomer CEO Andy Byron.
If you haven’t seen yet, the band’s lead singer Chris Martin was interacting with fans shown on the jumbotron. When the camera panned to a man and woman looking cozy, they quickly ducked out of view to avoid being on camera.

The internet and many media outlets have identified Andy as the man and it’s believed that the woman is another executive at his tech company.
A statement that was allegedly written by Andy, but wasn’t really, has spread around social media and has received millions of views. Astronomer has responded to the fake news.

The company told TMZ that the statement floating around is “not a real statement.” They didn’t add any other comments and wouldn’t say if Andy will actually release a public statement or not.
A full video from the concert moment shows that Chris Martin immediately expressed regret after possibly outing them as a couple.
