Emma Watson is not allowed to drive for the next six months, according to a new report.
The 35-year-old Harry Potter star was reportedly caught going 38mph in a 30mph zone while driving last year on July 31, 2024 in Oxford, England. At the time, Emma already had 9 points on her license. As a result, she was made to pay a fine of $1,396, and was given a six month ban on driving, all from the case heard at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court today (July 16).
She did not attend court, but the BBC says her lawyer shared that “she is in a position to pay the fine.” She’s currently in school getting her master’s degree in creative writing at the University of Oxford.
Emma has not made any sort of comment on the ban at this time.
Last year, Emma addressed her extended break from acting.
