Pete Davidson is getting vulnerable on stage.
On Friday (June 27), the 31-year-old comedian performed as part of the North to Shore Festival at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
While on stage, Pete opened up about complicated relationship with his “dying” grandfather.
Keep reading to find out more…“He got the lung cancer and I’m not that close with him. I’m close with my dad’s dad. I don’t like my mom’s dad,” Pete said, per The Daily Mail.
“He used to beat the s–t out of me and I don’t like him very much,” Pete claimed of his 81-year-old grandfather. “He’s old school, he’s very Irish. You know those old Irish Jews that are so Irish, they’re like pink, right?”
While he admitted that he has a sense of relief knowing his grandfather will soon be passing away, he’s still struggling to because he wants to be there and support his mom.
“I want to be there for my mom,” Pete said. “She’s sad about it.”
“I’m low-key, thrilled. I’m like, die slow motherf–ker,” the SNL alum continued. “I don’t want to be rude to my mom. I think I have the best mom in the world. I’m very, very lucky. So I’ve been trying to remember a good time that me and my grandpa, had so I could hold onto it.”
In a recent interview, Pete revealed how many of his 200+ tattoos he plans on keeping amid his removal process.
