The 40-year-old actress was first attached to the upcoming Tower of Terror movie when it was announced in 2021. In the years since, Disney and Scarlett have both been quiet about the project. Now, Scarlett is confirming that the movie is still in the works!

While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Scarlett shared an update on the movie’s progress.
“It’s a hard nut to crack. Harder than you think, because the ride itself, there’s some lore to it, but it’s… I don’t want to say thin, but it is, kind of!” Scarlett told the publication. The movie is set to be a film adaptation of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror drop ride at Disney World.
According to Scarlett, the story of the ride fits better into a thrill ride at a theme park than a feature-length film, but that they’re determined to flesh the story out for viewers.
She told EW that they’re feeling optimistic about the movie, saying, “That’s part of the mystery of the ride. It’s been a fun project to work on, because it’s a blue sky project. It has also proved to be a hard nut to crack. But, we’ll crack the case of it. It’s taking shape!”
