A second Pitch Perfect spinoff series is currently in the works!!
Joel Kim Booster is set to write Pitch Perfect: K-Pop Idols, taking the fan-favorite franchise into a different direction, according to Variety.
Pitch Perfect producers Elizabeth Banks, who starred in the movies, and husband Max Handelman are set to produce the Universal Television project through their production company Brownstone Productions.

The K-pop twist on the franchise will follow “a struggling singer-songwriter whose life completely turns upside down when she finds herself auditioning to be a part of the first all-American K-pop group.”
After the news was announced, Joel took to his Instagram story to celebrate, writing, “thank you mommy @elizabethbanks and daddy @maxhandelman for giving me the keys to the castle!!”
This will mark the second TV spinoff following Pitch Perfect: Bumper In Berlin, which only went for one season. It was originally picked up for a second season, but was ultimately canceled amid the strikes in 2023.
There have been many fans wanting a fourth Pitch Perfect movie, and there is one star who is “like the steam engine” of trying to make it happen!
