More details are coming out following the death of Rihanna‘s dad Ronald Fenty.
Nearly a month ago, it was revealed that Ronald passed away in Los Angeles at the age of 70 following a “brief illness.”
Now on Thursday (June 26), officials have released Ronald‘s cause of death, while revealing that he passed away on May 30.
Keep reading to find out more…According to his death certificate obtained by TMZ, the 37-year-old singer and beauty mogul’s father died from cancer, pneumonia and other serious illnesses after he checked into a L.A. hospital late last month.
The outlet reported that Ronald‘s death certificate listed acute respiratory failure, pancreatic cancer and aspiration pneumonia, a bacterial lung infection. Other causes listed in the document included acute renal failure and acute tubular necrosis.
At the time of his death, it was reported that Rihanna and other family members were by Ronald‘s side.
As of right now, Rihanna, who is pregnant with her third child, has not publicly addressed her father’s passing.
Last weekend, Rihanna made a virtual appearance at the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards to accept the Icon Award.
