Ralph Fiennes is sharing his thoughts on playing President Snow in the upcoming film The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.
The role of president snow was previously played by the late Donald Sutherland who passed away in 2024. The role was re-cast for the upcoming prequel film and Ralph, 62, will be playing the role.
Even though he’s taking over the character, Ralph says that he knows he can’t totally fill the shoes of the original actor.

While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at the London premiere of 28 Years Later on June 18, Ralph shared his thoughts about taking over the character.
“I’m not going to try and be Donald Sutherland, because no one can be him. But I think the character he created is very complex… The complexity of that psychology, I hope I can echo in some way,” Ralph said and referred to himself as a fan of the late actor and said that he’s “thrilled” to be cast in the upcoming film.
