Zach Gilford has been portraying Elias Voit on Criminal Minds: Evolution since 2022, and fans thought that the infamous sociopath might finally be done on the due to his absence from the cast pic. See that photo below.
However, TV Line is confirming that Zach IS back for season 19 of the series.
He then said that cast member Aimee Garcia explained why the character could be around again, sharing, “Let’s just say that Voit is a beloved character in the same way that Tony Soprano and Dexter were antiheroes that we loved. Voit went from an antihero that we love to a possible key to helping dissuade other antiheroes, so he may be hard to get rid of.”
