Cynthia Erivo kicked off the Tonys with an incredible original song for the opening number!
The 38-year-old Tony-winning actress is the host of the event this year and she performed to start the show at the 2025 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 8) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
Cynthia performed an original number seemingly titled “Sometimes All You Need Is a Song” and she even had a surprise appearance from Oprah Winfrey, who recreated the “holding space” moment with her.
During the performance, Cynthia went into the audience and made celebs in the crowd join her in song, including Kristin Chenoweth, Adam Lambert, and Aaron Tveit.
