Elisabeth Moss had one of her wildest dreams come true thanks to Taylor Swift!

If you missed it, a re-recording of Taylor‘s song “Look What You Made Me Do” was featured in the opening scene of the second to last episode of the final season of The Handmaid’s Tale. It plays as Elisabeth‘s character June Osborne leads an uprising against the Commanders in Gilead.

While stepping out for the 2025 Gotham Awards, where The Handmaid’s Tale was honored with the Ensemble Tribute, Elisabeth revealed how she was able to convince Taylor to debut the re-recording in the show.

Keep reading to find out more…“Honestly, the feedback was her saying yes,” Elisabeth told Entertainment Weekly.

She went on share that she wrote Taylor a letter about how her music has impacted her and her co-stars.

“That was really, truly such an honor that she took the time to read — you know I wrote her a letter about what I felt like the song meant for the episode, and her music means to me and our cast so the fact that she said yes to me was all the feedback that I needed,” Elisabeth explained.

In another recent interview, Elisabeth addressed the fan theory that Taylor actually made a secret cameo on The Handmaid’s Tale.
