A new development in the It Ends With Us lawsuit was just revealed and Blake Lively has apparently dropped certain claims against director and co-star Justin Baldoni.

As you probably already know, Justin and Blake have both filed lawsuits against each other relating to their experiences working on the hit movie It Ends With Us.

In Blake‘s initial lawsuit filed in December 2025, she accused Justin and others of sexual harassment on set and of organizing a smear campaign against her to damage her image. Justin denied the allegations in a statement released via his legal team.

Her lawsuit contained specific examples of times when she felt body shamed, harassed and more. It also included alleged messages between Justin, his team and a crisis team, in which they seemingly discussed how they would handle Blake to damage her career.

Two months later, Blake amended her lawsuit and we recapped more of the allegations.

A new filing from Justin‘s team in June 2025 reveals that Blake is attempting to withdraw claims of “of intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress,” according to Variety.

The new report claims that Justin‘s team is trying to get Blake to sign a HIPAA release to allow access to her therapy notes and other medical records as they need evidence to defend Justin against the allegations. His filing alleges that Blake is attempting to withdraw allegations to avoid turning over her medical records.

Variety reports that the new filing states, “Instead of complying with the Medical RFPs, Ms. Lively’s counsel recently advised us, in writing, that Ms. Lively is withdrawing her [infliction of emotional distress] Claims. However, Ms. Lively has refused the Wayfarer Parties’ reasonable request that the withdrawal of such claims be with prejudice. She is only willing to withdraw her claims without prejudice. In other words, Ms. Lively wants to simultaneously: (a) refuse to disclose the information and documents needed to disprove that she suffered any emotional distress and/or that the Wayfarer Parties were the cause; and (b) maintain the right to re-file her IED Claims at an unknown time in this or some other court after the discovery window has closed.”

“Ms. Lively cannot have it both ways. If Ms. Lively wants to withdraw her frivolous IED Claims, the Wayfarer Parties are entitled to a dismissal with prejudice to ensure they will not be re-filed. If Ms. Lively is unwilling to stipulate to the dismissal of her IED Claims with prejudice, then the Wayfarer Parties will continue to defend against them, and she must produce her medical information and documents as set forth herein,” the filing continued.

Variety notes that it’s standard practice for medical records to be turned over when some alleges physical or emotional injury.

Justin‘s body double from the film just spoke out to reveal behind-the-scenes info from set.
