Elon Musk is giving an explanation behind an apparent new black eye.
The 54-year-old Tesla CEO attended a press conference at the White House on Friday (May 30). While discussing President Donald Trump‘s first four months of his second term in office, reporters couldn’t help but notice what appeared to be a bruise under his right eye.
When asked about the injury, Musk attributed the marking to his five-year-old son, X Æ A-12.

“I was walking around with Little X and I said, ‘Go ahead and punch me in the face,’ and he did. I didn’t really feel much at the time but I guess it bruises up,” he said, according to People.
Musk shares X Æ A-12 with singer Grimes. He has 14 children total, with four women.
