The producers usually have a good idea of who will be evicted each week by the time the live episode begins, but they had no clue what was going to happen this time.
The head of household this week was Holly and she nominated Nick and Sam for eviction. The power of veto was won by Nick and he took himself off the block. Kathryn offered to go on the block as a pawn and her offer was accepted.

Julie revealed that when she got to work this morning, the producers were confident that a 9-0 vote would happen and Sam would be evicted. Then just hours before the episode was set to go live, the house decided to turn against Kathryn, but then they reneged on that plan and voted him out.
