People reports that Lori is set to appear as Abigail Stanton in six episodes in season 14. She last appeared in season 6, which aired in 2019.

It has also been confirmed that cast members Erin Krakow, Kevin McGarry, Jack Wagner, Chris McNally, Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith will all return for season 14, which will film in 2026.

Hallmark Media’s head of programming Michelle Vicary told People, “Since the series’ debut in 2014, the character of Abigail Stanton was a fan favorite and beloved by the Hearties. At its core the Hallmark brand is about hope, positivity and connection, which is also the central theme of When Calls the Heart. We felt that season 14 was the right time to continue Abigail’s story with her return to this beloved series.”

Lori‘s character was written off the show in 2019 during her college admissions scandal, for which she served two months in jail. The show addressed her exit by saying that her character Abigail traveled east to care for her sick mother.

Lori reprised her role as Abigail in Great American Family’s When Hope Calls series in 2021.

Hallmark just announced the season 13 premiere date for When Calls the Heart.
