Zoey Deutch is opening up about her recent engagement to longtime love Jimmy Tatro and how she secretly knew he was going to propose to her.
The 31-year-old actress opened up about the proposal during an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (November 26) in New York City.
“It was perfect. I sort of saw it coming. I probably shouldn’t say that, but I saw it coming,” Zoey said.

“We were on vacation in Corsica and I had like meticulously planned the trip. I’m like, I moonlight as a travel agent. And we arrived there and he tried nonchalantly to be like, ‘Hey, so I planned dinner on Monday.’ And I was like, ‘So did I. I’m sure you saw on the Google Doc.’ But I was like, ‘Okay I’ll be nice.’ So I just said, ‘Okay.’ And he knew that I knew,” Zoey said.
Zoey said that Jimmy texted her best friend and said that she “didn’t ask one question. She didn’t ask what restaurant, what type of food, how do you know it’s a good restaurant. She knows!”
Zoey said that even though she knew the proposal was going to happen, “I didn’t know how he would do it or what he would say or what the ring would look like. And so I was surprised by all those things. And it really, it was one of the best nights of my life.”
